So I have decided to be one of those cool creators, and not be oh so ever stingy with my idea’s, although I do hope they are respected (no plagiarising and all that - feedback is encouraged too)
.so here goes
Here is my first project I did with a partner. It is an invite to an event that is aimed for teens. We decided to glamourise the image of an existing brand, Wellness Warehouse (a Cape Town based store). We do not dismiss it’s functionality and success, however we aimed to incorporate teens into their image as it is not entirely appealing to them. In order to do this, we glamourized the image of the brand by producing a hypothetical new magazine which would appeal to teens. Our event that the invite is based around is a launch for the magazine we “created”.

.the beauty behind this is that each invite is personalised as teens will take photos in the mirror with their own face in it
.this thus avoids exclusion
.these mirrors will be placed in malls where Wellness Warehouses are found

(This is our rationale reduced from about 2 pages to 4 sentences)
- don’t worry, we were very quickly reminded of what WC means (water-closet) and that is a slip up already acknowledged.

-woke up, cuddled and giggled with my better half
-got hustled along to Simon’s Town
-had a feast with my lovely lad and parents at The Meeting Place
-had more giggles

- rented a DVD, watched it, although it was a bit depressing
All of this took place while the rain poured and the wind blew its hardest down at the tip of Africa. The more I look at weather forecasts for the week, the more I get excited for a cold, huddled, cuddly, productive Winter
